Introduction

Do you remember those dehydrated apples you used to eat as a kid? Well now you can make even better ones at home! It’s the touch of acidity from the lemon juice combined with just a hint of honey and cinnamon that makes this little snack so addicting.

Ingredients

  • 6 apples, granny smith or pink lady
  • 3-4 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • Dashes of cinnamon

Instructions

Peel and very thinly slice apples, about 1/8 of an inch (a mandolin works great). Toss apple slices with honey, lemon juice, a few dashes of cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Spray dehydration racks with Pam (this one can be a little sticky) and lay apple slices in a single layer.

Set the Wolf Convection Oven to Dehydrate Mode and adjust the temperature to 150 degrees.

Dehydrate for 4-6 hours depending on how chewy you want your apple slices.
