Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 2 shallots, thinly sliced
- 4 ounces cooked bacon
- 10 ounces heavy cream
- 4 eggs
- 1 Tablespoon Kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, grated
- 1 frozen pie dough, thawed
- 3 ounces gruyere cheese, grated
- 1 Tablespoon chives, thinly sliced
Instructions
On the Wolf Oven, select Gourmet Mode, then choose One Dish Meals, Quiche, and let it preheat.
In a small sauté pan over medium heat, add butter and shallots, and cook until tender, about two to three minutes. Turn off the heat and add the cooked bacon.
In a bowl, combine eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Whisk or mix with a fork until the eggs and cream are fully blended.
Place the pie crust on a baking sheet, then fill it bacon mixture and cheese. Pour the egg mixture evenly on top, making sure it fills all the spaces between the cheese and bacon.
Place the baking sheet with the quiche in the oven and set a timer for 50 minutes.
When the timer ends, remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes.
When serving, cut it into the desired portions and top with chives.
If making in advance, cut it into portions after cooling, and reheat in the Wolf oven on Warm Mode at 180°F for 45 minutes.
